Laser Tattoo Procedure

You're the kind of person who always makes the right decisions. Well, at least you think that you do. However, you're pretty sure that this time, you've made one heck of a bad decision. You're not even the kind of person to get "inked", but you did, and now you regret it.

Needless to say, you need a laser tattoo procedure done to erase this horrible mistake from your skin, and from your memory. You've only told a couple of friends about your plan to have a laser tattoo procedure, and you've had to tell them all, no, you didn't get some guy's name tattooed on your butt.

No, the reason behind this oh-so-necessary laser tattoo procedure has to do with a matter of creative differences. You've always been the "good" girl – always on time for everything, always getting good grades, etc. Well, once you graduated from college you were determined to become more liberated, so it was definitely time to get that ultimate sign of rebelliousness, the tattoo.

Of course, the conscientious person in you had to get a tattoo of something meaningful…yes, you'll get a little portrait of a cat on your ankle. You've always liked cats. Alright, now it's time to find a tattoo shop. Okay, that one looks a little disgusting, but it's the only one around.

Well, apparently the artist thought you wanted a little raccoon, because whatever that thing is on your ankle, it's certainly not a cat. You're normally a sandal-wearing kind of girl, so it's really been hard to wear socks with those sandals. Oh yes, this laser tattoo procedure needs to be done as soon as possible.

You're done trying to be a bad girl. You've been to the dark side, and you're never going back. So, you do all the research that you possibly can on this kind of procedure, and you're also in the midst of finding a good doctor. The doctor, you know, must be certified in this area, and have a pretty darn impressive portfolio. After all, you don't want this raccoon just looking like a scarred, angry, slightly larger raccoon.

So, after weeks of research, you've finally found the right doctor. During your consultation, he takes a look at the tattoo an laughs at it. Well, sure it would be funny. You'd think it was funny too if it was on anyone else's ankle except yours.

Your doctor tells you that the procedure will be done over a gradual period of time – not too long in your case, since the tattoo is small. The laser will take off layer by layer of the skin, eradicating the injected ink, and eventually making it look like nothing had ever been there.

In between the procedures, you're going to have to keep the area clean, and securely bandaged. You'll also have to keep that area out of the sun. These seem like easy enough rules to follow…and then you get the estimate – a few hundred dollars in total. That journey to the dark side has not only been embarrassing, but also expensive.
